Learning to taste and evaluate honey is an essential skill that is learned through sensory training. It is a super power and everyone has the ability to improve their own natural skills through formal training and practice. In these classes we will learn the methods of sensory analysis to identify botanical sources, describe smells and flavors using a common vocabulary, identify fermented and defects in honey, understand crystallization and more. Knowing honey and how to describe its flavors is a powerful marketing tool for every beekeeper. |

Taste The Terroir of US HoneyIn person - 3 day course - 18 hours - 15 US honeys In this course we will taste and evaluate 15 common single origin honeys produced in the United States. Learn about the botanical sources, region of production and how to write tasting notes toidentify smells and flavors.
