FIRST ANNOUNCEMENT
6TH APIMEDICA & 5TH APIQUALITY
INTERNATIONAL SYMPOSIUM
Rome, Italy - 22 - 25 November 2016
The meeting, organised by the Istituto Zooprofilattico Sperimentale del
Lazio e Toscana "M. Aleandri" (Apomondia member), in collaboration with
the Italian Ministry of Health and Apimondia (the International
Federation of Beekeepers' Associations), will address the most relevant
issues pertaining to apitherapy and the qualitative aspects of the
production/use of bee products and is open to researchers, students as
well as beekeepers.
The symposium will include: oral presentations, a poster session,
keynote speakers, specific sessions (active compounds, properties,
pharmacology and clinical applications of hive products; clinical
aspects in human and veterinary medicine; best practices; residues in
hive products; alkaloids in honey and pollen; standards and frauds) and
practical training (practical demonstration and clinical evidence of
apitherapy; on-field standard tools; innovative systems for beehives and
hive products traceability).
The programme of the symposium will be as follows:

The registration fee includes: proceedings of the Symposium, attendance
to the scientific programme sessions and coffee breaks.
The fees do not include lunches, the excursion to the apiary near Rome

announcement.
FURTHER INFORMATION
The 2nd announcement will soon be posted with further information on the
event venue, the detailed programme together with the registration
procedures, as well as a list of hotels and other accommodation
facilities near the symposium venue.
SCIENTIFIC CONTRIBUTIONS
Abstracts of poster and oral presentations may be submitted not later
than 30th September (see the template in the attached file). You can
send your abstract according to the guidelines that will be provided
with the 2nd announcement.
